SUMMER DRESS WEEK // LACE & EYELET

Concluding summer dress week with a look at lace and eyelet dresses! I’ve always been attracted to the elegance and preciousness of lace and eyelet patterns, particularly when they are cut in more fashion forward silhouettes. You can take a look at a few of my past lace and eyelet dress looks here, here, and here, as well as check out today’s look here. As you can see, the silhouettes are quite varied, having worn everything from a lace jumpsuit, to a long-sleeved eyelet midi dress, to a lace trench over a white eyelet dress! Today’s post features a summer-ready flared mini dress with a wildflower print over a beautiful leaf pattern crochet. I tend to favor update silhouettes in lace and eyelet so the dresses don’t feel outdated or wander into the costume zone. I love to add simple, neutral, and on trend accessories (like a straw hat or wide belt) to keep my looks updated but not overly busy. I like to keep the focus and attention on the pattern of the dress. Finally, I adore playing with color in lace and eyelet. Whites will always be the most classic, but softer pastel colors, or more vibrant greens and blue shades, can add so much interest while still allowing for classic accessory tones. Below are seven of my favorite new finds – I hope you can add room in your closet for a lace and/or eyelet dress this season!
