TOTALLY TOGGLE COATS //

toggle coats

I’m so excited to share that one my favorite toggle coats, by the iconic British brand Gloverall, has been re-released! I absolutely love Fall for all things layering and I always shop for my favorite outerwear at the earliest possible time. I was lucky to snag this toggle coat last year (as seen here) before it quickly sold out! The coat is made of double faced wool, making it super thick and warm, without being scratchy. It is perfect for crisp days, cool nights, and all of the outdoor Fall activities in between. This season, it is not only available in the exact same perfect plaid I purchased last year, but also in new silhouettes and additional solids and plaid checks. As I love the traditional nature of the toggle coat, I chose the classic duffle in the dress gordan plaid, but there is an array of new bodies to consider this season, including a cute cape option, a slim fit silhouette, a shawl collar piece, and the classic updated with a removable hood. These gorgeous new feminine plaids (the pink!) and solids (the pink again!) give a softer and modern feel to the more conventional silhouette, while the new mid-length grey and black cape options feel more refined and sophisticated. I may just have to purchase another one or two for this season! Hope you are feeling as inspired as I am to wear toggle coats this Fall!

  • BLANKET SCARVES // PREP FOR FALL | Atlantic-Pacific

[…] Oversized blanket scarves are an easy way to add dimension, interest, and color/pattern to nearly any Pre-Fall outfit. See here, here, and here for a few of my past looks! The practicality is literally written in the name, and being able to wear a scarf that doubles as a blanket is a lifesaver on days where the temperatures can shift unexpectedly. Ever been cold on an airplane, during a long car ride, or right when the sun begins to set? Problem solved! ASOS always has an incredible collection (four of my current faves in the image below!) of blanket scarves to choose from, but don’t hesitate, at under $30, they tend to sell out quickly. Plaids and block stripes are usually my go-to picks for pairing back to solid wool outerwear, but this season, a few solid color options are catching my eye (see here). I’m imagining them to be perfect for monotone dressing with your favorite colorful outerwear, wearing them in a color blocked fashion, or as a grounding solid for pairing back to a new plaid toggle coat (see more toggle coats here!).
