FALL PLAID PARTY // RE-DEFINED

My fondness for Fall plaid has no end in sight. Once cooler temperatures hit, so many of my styling choices are built around these gorgeous – and versatile – items. This season, I am taking a slightly different stance on plaid in general, and gravitating toward more tonal plaids and checks (with a few bright exceptions) that easily work back to a darker fall-forward color palette full of gray, blue, and burgundy. These quieter plaids feel less youthful (think more masculine buffalo check or punk inspired tartans) and offer more sophistication and refinement. I also know that these Fall plaids will have better longevity in my wardrobe and provide more versatility to style both up and down. I have already begun infusing some plaid into my Fall forward looks, seen here and here, and hope to continue to do so throughout the season.
