Three Spring trends I am feeling for this season are ring bags, slides, and gingham – when interpreted in more modern pieces. I am waiting anxiously for warmer weather to incorporate these styles into my wardrobe, and fortunately, I have a few warm weather trips coming up – so hopefully I can get a jump start! All three of these Spring trends can be dressed up or dressed down, making each perfectly versatile.
My mini Simon Miller bag has been a favorite over the past few months (as seen here)! I have been hunting for new variations to add to my spring/summer collection – the more the merrier! This new trend in bags can be worn more casually with cropped denim and slides, or dressed up with your favorite spring skirt and heels. Take a look at some of my new faves above – all at varying price points. one // two // three (under $100)
Slide into Spring with a great new pair of…slides. After wearing and re-wearing this pair (as seen here), I am officially on board with slides and looking for a few new options with a little more spunk (I have never been accused of being a minimalist). All of the prints, bows, and strap shapes I am seeing this season are so fun and playful, instantly adding conversation to a formerly routine silhouette – perfect for my aesthetic. Keep the slides as your Spring statement piece with rolled jeans and your favorite military jacket (love this floral one I bought), or go just a bit more feminine and pair them with cute lace skirt or culottes. There is nothing customary about the newest gingham options this Spring. I’m loving how a more conventional, prep-favored pattern can show up in unexpected ways and on fashion forward silhouettes. This season, make a traditional pattern your full fashion look with a cropped top and skirt combo. Keep your classic gingham shirt in the closet this season and invest in something unanticipated. Or better yet, go casual, and try wearing and old item and new item together! Gingham sneakers with a gingham shirt? Love.
