There are so many new ways to wear Spring stripes! While I normally fall for the more quintessential, breton stripe patterns in royal blues and classic reds (as seen here and here), lately, some more modern and unexpected pieces have caught my attention. For this season, classic black and white stripes in a differing scales can be worn together for more polished looks. Technicolor stripe layouts can be your statement piece to stand out, or to act as a more modern take on festival style. And, you can now more easily spin the primary wheel away from blues and reds to the yellow side of the family, easily adding a dose of bright to your stripe staples. See some of my favorites below:
one // The classic ‘Miller’ flip flop is now available in both classic navy and nantucket red. These are perfect paired back to your favorite little white dress for an office appropriate look, or with your favorite cropped denim for casual Fridays.
two // This kaleidoscopic and ruffled beauty aims to be one of your standout pieces of the season. Keep it simple (and let this dress do the talking) with a bright lip and a black heel.
three // The vibrant horizontal stripes on this gorgeous one piece are just wide enough to make this swimsuit ultra flattering from the beach to the bar. Try taking this out of the water with distressed denim shorts and conversational slides.
four // I would wear this bold striped, color blocked hobo bag with a breezy, all white ensemble and the perfect straw hat.
five // These striped canvas slippers are ultimately elegant and the embroidered bee design is extraordinary. I would wear these with a black or white cuffed culotte pant and a lightweight cashmere sweater.
six // This striped box clutch bag is a steal at only $40! The perfect piece for a wedding or to dress up a casual look.
seven // A yellow striped jumpsuit is the perfect look to step into Spring. Yellow has been one of my favorite comeback colors this spring and this jumpsuit is such a lovely shade.
eight // These knotted stripe sandals are too cute! A more modern, yet interesting twist on the oh-so-popular slide trend in 2017.
