THROWBACK //

Last February, we took a trip up to Woodstock Vermont and got a wonderful surprise on the drive up – the most beautiful snow storm! Along the way we stopped by Sugarbush Farm, picked up some amazing cheeses, and made a few new friends.

Question: Living in NYC I am always so impressed that you manage wearing high heels, platforms, etc. running around the city. Do you wear them all day long? If not, what are the shoes that you typically wear out and about in the city? I am looking for style and comfort!

Answer: I most definitely do not wear many of the shoes that are featured on the blog all day! I do wear them, but typically not while commuting, and rarely for more than 5 or 6 hours at a time. My favorite comfortable shoe option to throw in a tote, or to wear during a particularly busy day running around, are ballet flats. They are feminine, polished and comfortable. Some of my favorites are by Chanel (I know they can be pricey but I find most of mine on TheRealReal), Josefinas, or Old Navy (which sadly are longer available). Sometimes I can also turn to loafers, in which case you will see me in a G.H. Bass Whitney, a Gucci Brixton or Princetown, or a Madewell Elinor.

LINK LOVE //

March is the month when I begin thinking about all the events I have coming up for the year – weddings, weekend trips, events in the city – and start hunting for evening dresses. This chiffon number immediately caught my eye. I absolutely love a great red dress!
