THROWBACK //

A flashback to last May and my first time in Barcelona! Unfortunately, it was unseasonably cold when we were there and I am hoping to make it back sometime soon for some warmer weather!

Question: Do you get a lot of your clothes tailored?

Answer: I get special pieces that I know will live in my closet for a long time tailored (when they don’t fit perfectly), but for the majority of my pieces, no. From time to time I’ll decide that I will wear a maxi dress WAY more often if it is tea length or midi length, so I do get some dresses and pants hemmed. If I am trying on a piece that needs tailoring, and I am deciding if I want to purchase, I will ask myself if I will keep the piece for multiple years in order to justify the cost of tailoring. Before making a final decision, I will also consider how much tailoring the piece requires (I practically never get structured blazers or coats tailored as it can end up costing more than the piece itself!) and do think about if could I find something better fitting elsewhere. The answers to those questions usually lead me in the right direction when it comes to tailoring!

LINK LOVE //

I love feminine blazers and Veronica Beard does them like no other! This baby blue blazer with bold buttons is on my spring wish list.
