THROWBACK //

Throwing it back to a spring dress outfit from earlier this year that featured an all-time favorite color combination! You can see another recent pink and red look on the site here.

Question: Lately, there have been quite a few articles written about the ‘influencer bubble’ bursting. More specifically, there was an article by CNN on the space being too crowded and suggesting influencers should be worried. Do you agree?

Answer: I don’t have a crystal ball, so clearly can’t predict the future. That being said, I think that a lot of the articles are sensationalized and act as click bait to drum up traffic for the publishers. I do believe that the influencers who have built businesses on a single platform, don’t necessarily have a backup plan, and haven’t diversified their revenue channels, could be more in danger if the space shifts or goes in a new direction. There will surely be an evolution and a changing of the guard, as is true of any industry, but to say any of this is going away, or is a bubble, feels a little Y2K-ish to me. People are simply choosing new ways of communicating and receiving information, and it’s up to brands and businesses to  respond appropriately and as best that they can. I like to believe that passion and authenticity will always trump trend.

Loving this candy-colored striped midi dress. The crepe fabric and short sleeve silhouette are right up my alley!
