ATLANTIC-PACIFIC COLLECTION // PICK A PRINT

Today is all about the print selection offered in the Atlantic-Pacific x Halogen collection! When initially discussing the print direction, I knew I wanted a dark grounded, multi-colored floral that could tie together all of the colors within the collection. I truly hoped would be a print that could be worn with nearly every item we created – and it is! I also envisioned offering a smaller scale print to balance out the larger floral pattern. I love a good dot, and a classic pattern in a more unexpected rust color just seemed to fit the assortment perfectly. Below is a little bit of everything matchy-matchy, from print on print, to print mixing, to a simple pop of print with denim!

This pleated, elastic waist band skirt is available in this dark floral print and the rust polka dot version below! It can be dressed up for a holiday occasion or paired back to brown boots and a chunky sweater for a more casual look for fall. Here I am wearing print on print, always a stand out look in my book. For bonus points, add the matching scarf!

Switching gears and showing a different print on print look with dueling rust colored polka dots and pops of pink. I paired the skirt back to the PJ inspired top in the collection – it is offered in a hard-to-wrinkle woven, perfect for packing for all those fall weekend trips (I am always on the hunt for great woven items that don’t need steaming). The top is accented with a white piping detail and the silhouette is slightly longer in length, which is perfectly  flattering when wearing untucked with your favorite pair of jeans.

The trifecta on polka dots – mixing scales, materials, and colors! This look is a take on an outfit I posted earlier this year here, but I felt like the skirt was screaming to be print mixed with additional polka dot pieces. The adorable elastic waist on this skirt creates a great little finished ruffle around the waistline, creating a clean and interesting finish that looks great with or without a belt! P.S. – we have amazing wide belts in the line as well!

When creating the prints and stripes in this collection we really considered how they could be mixed, matched, and played off of one another. The rust color in the floral makes it so easy to print mix with the dot – pair the floral top with the polka dot skirt – or the polka dot skirt with the floral top – for more unexpected matches!

For the denim lovers out there – just a little peak of print can go a long way. In this look, I am wearing the floral top with the black, gold button blazer. Finishing off the outfit with the tie scarf allows you to have just enough print. Here, you are also seeing the black version of the mary jane flats. You may have seen them earlier this week in pink glitter (they are also available in tweed!). Can we talk about how sweet the pearl button details are?! And, for ease, we made the straps on these beauties with a hint of elastic, so they are easy to slide on and off – no buttoning required!
