NO. 157 // ON BRAND PARTNERSHIPS

THROWBACK //

Ruffles, ruffles, ruffles! This incredible skirt from J.Crew has stood the test of time. After nearly 4 years it still safely makes the cut during each closet clean out. Here’s to wishing they bring it back in new colors and prints!

Question: How do you choose which partners to work with?

Answer: There are several different factors that go into brand partner decisions. First and foremost, the brand has to be an authentic fit to my style, and the brand itself has to show interest in truly collaborating (versus dictating how we work together). I always try to find partners that are interested in creating content that fits both their brand filter and mine. Many times, it also comes down to timing, scope of work, fee/budget, and if the particular product they want to highlight is a good fit for me. Oftentimes, a brand that I admire is looking to partner, but on a specific product or product category that doesn’t necessarily make sense for Atlantic-Pacific. At the end of the day, my goal, through the lens of fashion and style, is always to bring you the best content, whether it be sponsored or non-sponsored! 🙂
